Construction Products Regulation approval in April

Short summary
The provisional agreement struck by the European Parliament and the Council on 13 December was approved in the Internal Market Committee of the EP on 13 February, with 36 votes in favour, none against and one abstention. The agreed text will now be tabled for formal adoption by the European Parliament at its plenary sitting on 11 April. On the side of the Member States, on 2 February, the Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) also analysed and confirmed the final compromise text. Once the EP votes are on the final text in the plenary, it is expected that the Council will also give the greenlight on the new regulation, after which the latter will be published in the EU Official Journal.
