Policy Updates

<p>The Commission has submitted the Roadmap for feedback within 4 weeks. After this period, a dedicated meeting of the Consultation Forum will be organised to discuss the preparation of the Working Plan. It is expected that the Working Plan could be published as a Communication in the third quarter of 2021. Of the possible new items listed two may be relevant to Eurovent: swimming pool heaters and industrial sensors. Relevant to all members will be horizontal measures relating to lightweight design, recycled content, ecological profile, durability, firmware and software, scarce and critical raw materials. While looking at the Working Plan, the consultation on the Sustainable Products Initiative should be kept in mind.</p>

<p>New version of EPREL (UI: 1.44.0, Exchange model: 2.7.10) has been released in the PRODUCTION environment on Friday, 30 April 2021. New version of ACCEPTANCE (Software: 1.45.0) has been released on Monday, 10 May 2021.</p>

The Briefing Paper announced in GEN – 1229.00 was released on Friday, 30 April. The 40-page paper provides the preliminary findings from the study to support the evaluation of the Regulation and lists initial possible policy options.

Some additional information ahead of the stakeholder workshop on the review of the F-Gas Regulation scheduled for 6 May 2021 has become available.

On behalf of the European Commission (DG CLIMA), Öko-Recherche is working on a series of analysis evaluating the implementation of the F-Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 since 2015. This includes, among others, monitoring of the refrigerant prices. The Q4/2020 report has been recently shared with Eurovent.

<p>From 29 June to 07 September 2020, the Commission asked for feedback on its inception impact assessment relating to the F-Gas Regulation. This was followed by a public consultation between 15 September and 29 December 2020. Eurovent provided via the Task Force F-Gas its input. On 26 April, EPEE invited associations to a gathering where the Commission and the UK authorities would provide insight into the developments.</p>
