The insights from the studies should serve as input for policies aimed at increasing the share of renewables in heating and cooling, including methodologies for accounting these shares. For cooling, the Commission aims to adopt by the end of 2021 a delegated act establishing a methodology for calculating the quantity of renewable energy used for cooling and district cooling.
