An upcoming online event will explore similarities and differences in Ecodesign standardisation between EU and China.

<p>On a monthly basis, the Eurovent Team compiles a global overview of the latest developments concerning new standardisation activities, technical regulations and legislative developments of relevance for the HVACR industry. This information allows members to be prepared for developments that can have an impact on them and their products.</p>

The revision fits within the current Ecodesign Framework Directive 2009/125. It is the first update since 2013 and, while not linked to the separate Sustainable Policy Initiative, the revision will look to update the environmental data sets for the EcoReportTool and consider the possibility to include material efficiency aspects and of environmental footprint/ecological profile aspects.

New version of EPREL (Software: 1.48.0 / Exchange model 2.7.11) has been released in the ACCEPTANCE environment on Friday, 18 June 2021 to let organisations perform testing and schedule necessary adaptations. The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) ran this consultation in mid 2020. It received input from 18 respondents. Of interest is the overview published on 12 June 2021 that includes future orientations and therefore is of importance to manufacturers operating in or exporting to the UK.
